Time is closing to apply for the MU CRCL Nutrient Management and 4R approach cost-share program. Applications should be completed by September 30th. The program is now open statewide, with priority given to the southeast region of the state for cropping season 2026. We encourage all to apply – if you are new to nutrient management, have been dabbling in the 4Rs, or have been an avid supporter of the 4R program.

The Nutrient Management and 4R Approach offers payments of $20/acre up to $10,000 to use a nutrient management plan developed by a Certified 4R Retailer or Advisor, and a two-pass nitrogen system on your corn acres. One of the nitrogen passes must be during the growing cycle, preferably from the V4-V6 stages.

To find out if your ag retailer and/or advisor are 4R Certified, please visit the Missouri Fertilizer Control Board’s website https://www.mofcb.com/4r-certification/.  If they aren’t listed, please encourage them to reach out to me via email mrice@mofcb.com, and we can work on getting them 4R Certified.

Apply today for the cost-share program through the Center for Regenerative Agriculture https://cra.missouri.edu/crcl_nutrientmanagement-2/.
